Entry Requirements for Botswana

Botswana's currency is the Pula (BWP).

Taxes and Refunds Within Botswana
All goods and services are priced to include value added tax (VAT) of 12%
On departures non residents may claim VAT refunds on goods purchased, the amount spent should be more than P5 000,00. The following documentation is required : Tax invoice stating VAT paid, your passport numbers and bank account details.
What To Wear in Botswana
- Dry Seasons (March - October) are very hot - lightweight cotton clothing and a lightweight jacket.
- Wet Seasons (November - April) are mild, yet cold in the early evening and mornings - trousers, long-sleeved shirts, pullovers and a very warm jacket.
- In general comfortable walking shoes and sandals/slops. Sunhat, sunscreen and aftersun.
